Daniel Brandão graduated in Social Communication from the Federal University of Ceará and attended the UFC Comics Workshop (1996), and the Joe Kubert School of Cartooning and Graphic Arts (2001), in USA.

Since 1996 he works as comic artist, illustrator, art educator and entrepreneur. He has won four “HQ Mix” awards (2002, 2005, 2006 and 2017) and has worked with several national and international publishers, magazines, characters and companies, such as DC Comics, Marvel, Dark Horse, Abril and Maurício de Sousa Produções.

He has an active career in the area of ​​encouraging reading with projects in various schools and didactic or paradidactic publishing houses, among them the project “Ler É…” (2015).

Creator of the character Liz, he published six author books. Since January 2018, he publishes the strip OS MUNDOS DE LIZ daily in the newspaper O Povo.

He has a studio in Fortaleza, CE (Estúdio Daniel Brandão) where it offers courses in comics, drawing, manga, watercolor and illustration since 2002.
